Tears, Fears & Beers Mountain Bike Enduro Race * Ely

June 14 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Description

Get ready for the Fears, Tears and Beers Mountain Bike Enduro – the first and longest running enduro mountain bike race in America.

The race starts at 9:00am on June 14 — check in time is 8:00am.  There will be music and celebrations all day long at Ely’s Broadbent Park.  Bring your binoculars and lawn chairs to watch the Expert and Pro classes take on the final downhill timed section.

With Years of Racing History, Fears, Tears, and Beers is America’s Oldest Enduro Bike Race. Starting out as a motocross format for racing, it got adopted by local converts to mountain biking. Being the first race of this format in America, FTB has attracted top name mountain bikers over the years including pro riders and hall of famers since 1995.

There are 5 different men and women’s classes ranging from Beginner to Pro with distances starting at 11 miles up to 42 miles.  The after party and celebrations ceremony will be held at the Bristlecone Convention Center.

This annual fundraising event for Great Basin Trails Alliance, in partnership with Nevada Division of Forestry and BLM, the GBTA is responsible for the building and maintenance of the non-motorized multi use trails in the area. All money raised during this bike event is used for grant matches and expenses associated with reinvesting into our trail systems.
