As a rock enthusiast, I couldn’t pass up the Reno Gem & Mineral Society’s craft fair at the Reno Town Mall! Vendors from a variety of locations showcased their finest including items from all over the world, some dating back 400 million years. Gemologists and professional rockhounds shared their knowledge and some of their trade secrets. I found a magnificent piece from the Black Rock desert with sparkly crystals. It was much easier than rockhounding on my own; I can’t wait for the next show!
