I wanted to experience Nevada’s interesting railroad history, so I took V & T Railroad’s daytrip from Carson City to Virginia City. The train departed the Carson City Depot at 10am for a 1-hour and 10-minute ride. During the conductor’s live and entertaining historical commentary, he said wildlife had been sparce. However, we spotted over a dozen wild horses, several birds, a deer and even some cowboys shooting during the trip. There was plenty of time to visit museums, great restaurants & boutique shops before the 3pm departure! It was a fabulous adventure and I highly recommend taking this trip!
