DESCRIPTION:The Reno River Festival will kick off summer at its new location\, Idlewild Park\, from May 30 to June 1! \nThe new space will allow for additional experiences to the festival: a tournament at the bucket golf course\, a VIP experience\, a themed bar tour\, a rubber duck scavenger hunt and a new area for dogs to play\, The Bark Park. \nThe festival will feature 24 acts on two stages\, more than 100 art and craft vendors\, food trucks\, a professionally guided rafting tour down the Truckee River\, rides\, games\, yoga in the park and a festival-wide scavenger hunt. \n    \nThe new VIP Adventure Pass includes access to the MusicFest VIP tent\, a food voucher\, a pass for the themed bar tour and entry to RiverFest for all three days.  There are various price packages available. DESCRIPTION:Get ready for the Fears\, Tears and Beers Mountain Bike Enduro – the first and longest running enduro mountain bike race in America. \nThe race starts at 9:00am on June 14 — check in time is 8:00am.  There will be music and celebrations all day long at Ely’s Broadbent Park.  Bring your binoculars and lawn chairs to watch the Expert and Pro classes take on the final downhill timed section. \nWith Years of Racing History\, Fears\, Tears\, and Beers is America’s Oldest Enduro Bike Race. Starting out as a motocross format for racing\, it got adopted by local converts to mountain biking. Being the first race of this format in America\, FTB has attracted top name mountain bikers over the years including pro riders and hall of famers since 1995. \nThere are 5 different men and women’s classes ranging from Beginner to Pro with distances starting at 11 miles up to 42 miles.  The after party and celebrations ceremony will be held at the Bristlecone Convention Center. \nThis annual fundraising event for Great Basin Trails Alliance\, in partnership with Nevada Division of Forestry and BLM\, the GBTA is responsible for the building and maintenance of the non-motorized multi use trails in the area. SUMMARY:River Fork Sangha * Meditation at TNC River Fork Ranch Preserve
DESCRIPTION:The TNC River Fork Ranch Preserve is pleased to announce a new Dharma Zephyr sitting group: River Fork Sangha.   The sangha will meet at the Nature Conservancy’s River Fork Ranch Preserve in Minden at 381 Genoa Lane.  It will be a peer-led group facilitated by Jon Weedn on each Saturday in May from 8:30am to 9:30am. \n \nFind peace and community in nature through weekly practice in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. Sitting and walking meditation along with mindful discussion will be the core of the practice. SUMMARY:Day Two Dash - Nevada Open Road Challenge Continues in Ely!
DESCRIPTION:This racing challenge is a two-way event\, totalling 119.78 miles on a closed section of Nevada State Highway 318.  The 4-day event is packed full of gearhead activities and an awards banquet after-party held in the charming\, rustic mining town of Ely\, Nevada. \nFor over three decades\, driving enthusiasts from around the world have gathered on the third Sunday of May in the Nevada high desert for one of the truly unique automotive events. Drivers traverse 120 miles of closed\, two-lane public highway\, comprised of long fast straights\, sweeping corners\, blind dips\, and even carving through a twisty canyon.
