DESCRIPTION:Get ready for the Fears\, Tears and Beers Mountain Bike Enduro – the first and longest running enduro mountain bike race in America. \nThe race starts at 9:00am on June 14 — check in time is 8:00am.  There will be music and celebrations all day long at Ely’s Broadbent Park.  Bring your binoculars and lawn chairs to watch the Expert and Pro classes take on the final downhill timed section. \nWith Years of Racing History\, Fears\, Tears\, and Beers is America’s Oldest Enduro Bike Race. Starting out as a motocross format for racing\, it got adopted by local converts to mountain biking. Being the first race of this format in America\, FTB has attracted top name mountain bikers over the years including pro riders and hall of famers since 1995. \nThere are 5 different men and women’s classes ranging from Beginner to Pro with distances starting at 11 miles up to 42 miles.  The after party and celebrations ceremony will be held at the Bristlecone Convention Center. \nThis annual fundraising event for Great Basin Trails Alliance\, in partnership with Nevada Division of Forestry and BLM\, the GBTA is responsible for the building and maintenance of the non-motorized multi use trails in the area. Starting out as a motocross format for racing\, it got adopted by local converts to mountain biking. Being the first race of this format in America\, FTB has attracted top name mountain bikers over the years including pro riders and hall of famers since 1995. \nThere are 5 different men and women’s classes ranging from Beginner to Pro with distances starting at 11 miles up to 42 miles.  The after party and celebrations ceremony will be held at the Bristlecone Convention Center. \nThis annual fundraising event for Great Basin Trails Alliance\, in partnership with Nevada Division of Forestry and BLM\, the GBTA is responsible for the building and maintenance of the non-motorized multi use trails in the area. SUMMARY:Salt Flats Endurance Runs – West Wendover * Day 2
DESCRIPTION:It’s day 2 of the Salt Flats Endurance Runs in West Wendover May 2 to 3 at the Bonneville Flats Speedway in West Wendover. \nParticipants have a choice of 50K\, 50-mile and 100-mile distances\, with all three events starting at the same time at 7:00am on Friday and the finish cutoff for the 50K at 5:00pm Friday afternoon\, the 50-mile at 9PM Friday evening and the 100-mile at 7:00pm Saturday evening.  This gives a 10-hour duration for the 50K\, a 14-hour duration to the 50-mile and a 36-hour cutoff for the 100-mile making all three available to a wide variety of runners. \n   \nThe courses all start at the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway and run the same section of Salt Flats that the land-speed records are set each year at ‘Speedweek.’  After 13 miles of salt and three miles of mudflats\, the runners connect with the ‘Islands’ where mountain peaks rise out of the salt and seem to float like islands on a white sea. \nFor complete details\, visit https://saltflatsenduranceruns.com –  to register\, visit https://ultrasignup.com/register
