SUMMARY:Next Month -- Ducks Unlimited Continental Shoot * March 12-16!
DESCRIPTION:Ducks Unlimited is hosting its Nevada Continental Shoot March 12 through March 16 at the Clark Country Shooting Complex\, Las Vegas. \n \nAll events are governed by the National Sporting Clay Association (NSCA) rules.  However\, membership in the NSCA is not required to participate in the tournament. \nFor more information call 661-992-2941 or email: shoot@ducks.org \nThis 5-day outdoor trap shoot benefits \n  \n \nThe mission of Ducks Unlimited (DU) is to conserve\, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl.  These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people. Waterfowl conservation is facing important challenges as wetlands and other habitats are being degraded and destroyed across the continent.  Ducks Unlimited has a vision to reverse this trend. \n \nIn 1937\, DU got its start during the Dust Bowl when North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows.  Determined not to sit idly by as the continent’s waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery\, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited. \n \nDucks Unlimited is a grass-roots\, volunteer-based organization.  DU volunteers host more than 4\,000 grassroots fundraising events annually\, such as member and sponsor banquets\, shooting and fishing tournaments and golf outings. \n \nEvent dollars represent some of DU’s most important sources of revenue.  Since event dollars are typically unrestricted\, DU is able to spend these funds in our highest priority areas and use them to leverage additional funds from other sources. \n \nVisit https:// www.ducks.org to get tickets for upcoming events\, find out more about the organization and to subscribe to their newsletter.
