DESCRIPTION:Get ready for an exciting mountain bike ride on June 15th!  Enjoy spectacular views at the Beaver Dam State Park while you challenge yourself on a gravel grinder mountain bike 35-mile trail route. \nThe day starts at 6:00am with continental breakfast and the ride starts at 7:00am at Beaver Dam State Park Campground B where the ride ends and food will be served at 3:00pm. \nThis isn’t a race\, but a fun event where you can meet new people\, exercise and experience the amazing terrain with the parks deep canyons\, high peaks\, volcanic rock formation and juniper and pine forests. \nAccording to Mark Orton\, USA Cycling certified Level 1 coach\, “gravel grinders are gravel road races and rides that combine riding on surfaces such as asphalt\, gravel\, dirt\, some single-track trails and maintenance B roads.  The courses vary from hard-packed dirt to soft-ball sized rocks.”  This ride is not skinny-tire road bike friendly.
