DESCRIPTION:Get ready for one of the most exciting food competitions of the year – the Best in The West Nugget Rib Cook-Off starting Wednesday\, August 28 and finishing on Monday\, September 2. \n \nThis annual Labor Day Weekend event is often referred to as the Super Bowl of rib competitions on the national BBQ competition circuit.  Spanning more than 6 city blocks in the heart of downtown Sparks\, two dozen of the country’s best BBQ teams competed for nearly $20\,000 in prize money plus prestigious bragging rights! \n \nIt is estimated that 350\,000 to 400\,000 BBQ enthusiasts take part of the festivities each year consuming more than 250\,000 pounds of mouthwatering ribs during the 6-day festival. \nIn addition to the best BBQ around\, a wide variety of activities are offered including a huge arts and crafts vendor show\, kids area\, VIP area and top named entertainment performing on two stages. DESCRIPTION:Get ready for some funky Foothill Jamgrass music featuring the Red Dirt Ruckus\, with Patrick Walsh\, at this week’s free\, live concert on the beach at “Live at Lakeview” in South Lake Tahoe! \nLive at Lakeview is a free weekly concert series hosted at Lakeview Commons\, in the heart of South Lake Tahoe.  This year marks ten years of this wonderful music tradition with the concert on August 10 marking the 100th FREE Concert! \nEvery Saturday\, June 20th through August 29th\, the event features live music and art at Lakeview Commons at El Dorado Beach from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. \nEnjoy a variety of crafts from local merchants\, delicious food options from vendors and a beer garden.
