The V & T Railroad Train Holiday O’ Lights is a magical evening train ride on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad steam train with thousands of lights shining brightly through the dark skies and bright Christmas lights bouncing off the train’s steam.

Starting November 29 and ending December 21, the train rides are Friday and Saturday evenings at 5:00pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm.  During the daytime, the V & T Railroad also runs the Candy Cane Express trains.  Attendees can enjoy hot chocolate, hot cider, cookies, chocolate, toys and all types of fun stuff!  Children can even mail their letters to Santa.

The original V & T Railroad Depot is located at 165 F Street just below Main Street at F Street and Washington and Street.  Relax at their picnic tables and enjoy the 100-mile Nevada views.  There’s plenty of FREE parking!

This event has become a family tradition in Virginia City and the whole town lights up for an old time Christmas!
