Fallon Cantaloupe Festival Aug 23 – 25

Fallon

About

Get ready for a slice of Fallon at the annual Fallon Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair from August 23 to August 25.

This weekend of fun includes food and shopping vendors, stage entertainment, old fashioned country fair games, a Cantaloupe Festival Queen and King Pageant, plus don’t miss the Cutest Little Cowgirl and Cowboy Contest!

Many thanks for the great photos – courtesy of Gretchen LeMay Photography!

You can also visit the Old Dry Gulch Saloon where there’s locally brewed cantaloupe drafts at the Elks Beer Garden; and the rodeo takes place on Saturday.

There are also educational and agriculture activities.  Visit the Churchill County Museum, you can milk Moolissa, the Nevada Department of Agriculture’s robotic milk cow, interact with friendly goats and hold a variety of reptiles at the High Desert Jr. Grange, see an intriguing display demonstrating the Newlands Water Project and there’s plenty of animals to see at the 4H and FFA Animal Barn.

In addition to tasting fabulous cantaloupe, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the Festival!  For more information, visit https://www.falloncantaloupefestival.com.
